DIY: Get Rid Of That pimple Overnight!

You guys might be wondering how is it possible to get rid of a pimple overnight with things that you usually find in your kitchen.. Well I assure you its 100% Possible and Natural.. This is an ancient Indian Recipe which was lost through centuries..

My mum told me about this recipe when I got my first pimple.. It was a nightmare :( But when I woke up in the morning in front of my mirror and saw that it was GONE.. It works very effectively on my skin.. Now I don't guarantee it will work on Everyone because everyone has different types of skin. So lets get started..

You Need:

Honey
Cinnamon Powder

Be sure that you are not allergic to Cinnamon so test it before use. It might feel a little itchy in the start but that's how it works. You will find it in any Indian/Asian grocery stores.

Directions:
Take 1 tsp of honey and a pinch of cinnamon powder. Mix it well and apply it directly on the pimple. Leave it over night. I know its sticky and yucky but trust me ITS WORTH IT

This recipe has worked a LOT on my skin.. When I had acne, I would have walked with my face down and wouldn't talk to much with people but since I tried this trick it has cleared up 90% of acne from my face and I feel so much confident. Now I walk with my head up and a Big Smile. Hope it works on you guys.. Take care.

  3. Its a 1:2 ratio.. so if you take 1 tsp honey then 1/2 tsp cinnamon :)

  4. That's great! I'll definitely try this. You know, my grandma also told me that honey and cinnamon are good for your skin, but I thought she was joking. xD

    ReplyDelete
  5. Well now you know she wasn't joking. Its the best one so far :)

  6. This didnt work for me. I guess cuz I used ground cinnamon cuz I heard good reviews on this. Anyways I LUV YOUR WEB SITE!!!! U have the best tip 7 DIYs, and i use almost all of them!THX!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Its probably because you grounded it and the grains turned out to be thicker. The grains have to be like flour and maybe then it might work :)
And you won't see results until 2 weeks of trying it every other or 2 days :D

    1. Well you can take half teaspoon of honey and adjust the ratio. And yes I use all of it because I also apply to my neck area :)

Maybe your thinking of TABLE spoons. Becausea a teaspoon is NOTHING. One teaspoon was plenty! I had a little left over and I use it everywhere.

      Delete
  9. Do you put it on your whole face? Or just on the pimple itself?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It seems like she puts it everywhere, because in the post above she said she puts in on her neck and everywhere, and she uses all of it.

      Delete
    2. I actually dont put it on my neck :) I only put it over the pimple not the whole face :)

    3. You're comments are all over the board on how you use this. First you say this is effective over night and ten you say it takes up to two weeks to notice a change. In another post you say you apply all over your face and throat and then you say you don't apply all over, you only put on pimple.
      ?????

    4. So true, this post makes no sense!!

      Delete
    5. It is effective over night for people with OCCASIONAL breakouts but it will be effective for 2 weeks if you have cystic or serious acne. You apply all OVER the face if you have too much acne but you apply ONLY on the pimple if you have just 1 pimple. I hope this makes everything clear.

  10. Put the rest of it on your toast and eat it. It tastes great!

  11. What's the difference between cinnamon powder and ground cinnamon??

    ReplyDelete

    1. I haven't used or seen ground cinammon but I think the grounded one will have larger particles than the powder one :)

    1. OMG I tried that and it actually made my face worse. It gives me more acne than normal :( It works for most but just not me. Great huh

      Delete
    3. i tried toothpaste and it accually burned my skin! the pimple went away but i had burn marks on my face! thank god it didnt scare my face!

      Delete
    4. I tried toothpaste once too but it gave me more acne rather than killing it. And anyway, its a REALLY bad idea to use the products what you are not suppose to use as.

      Delete
    5. Toothpaste has Sodium Lauryl Sulfate in it that is EXTREMELY dangerous. No wonder one commenter had burn marks on their face! Please brush your teeth, wash your hair and use soaps that don't have SLS. SLS is the ingredient that makes products foam. Foam isn't necessary for clean.

      Delete
    6. You can only use the basic white toothpaste on pimples.

  13. How do I not mess it up through the night?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thats the tricky part. Just don't get your face buried in the pillow. Thats what I do and I know its really hard :( but beauty has pain :)

      Delete
    2. Put a band aid over it right after you apply it on the pimple. It's what I do and it helps keep it from messing up through the night.

      Delete
  14. Would I be able to put a band aid over it so it doesn't get messed up?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I dont think that would work since the chemicals from band aid might disturb the face mask and the glue from band aids are not safe to put on face. :))

      Delete
    2. LOL bandaids are unsafe for the face? Are you serious..

      Delete
    3. Well why don't you try it and let me know :)

      Delete
    4. Band aids are really bad for the face! The glue alone is bad for your skin, but the skin on your face is very sensitive. It could leave a mark for days.

      Delete
    5. I have found that band aids have no effect on my face im not saying you are wrong but it doesnt seem to bother me =)

      Delete
    6. Whenever I have to use a bandage, afterwards, I will have a red Band-Aid imprint on my skin for more than a month. So yes, Band-Aids CAN be bad for skin.

      Delete
    7. Band aids have gluten in the glue. So if you have a gluten issue, that could be the problem. :(

  15. What kind of honey do I need? Does it has to be liquid or thick?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You can use ANY type of honey as long as it is pure or organic :)

      Delete
    2. I think what you're looking for is raw honey, which is honey that has not been pasteurized. Pasteurization kills the healing properties that honey has. You may find honey labeled organic in the store, but it is nearly impossible to have actual "organic honey" because bees produce honey with the pollen they gather, and unless the only plants they have access to are plants that are organically grown (which is extremely unlikely and rare), they are going to pick up pesticides from the plants which they gather the pollen from and it is going to be in the honey they produce. Also, ground and powdered cinnamon are the same thing, just different parts of the world call them different things. I would maybe research your answers a little bit before you post because your information is not very accurate.

      Delete
    3. Pasteurized honey? Are you serious? Honey cannot be "pasteurized" or anything else. It is always 'organic'. This is why you are not supposed to give it to babies because it cannot be "cleaned" or pasteurized.

      Delete
    4. Honey is actually likely required to be pasteurized if they are selling it in a store. Fruit juice is pasteurized as well along with a slew of other edibles.

      Delete
    5. uh yeah honey can be pasteurized. search it up on google. most of the honey in grocery stores are pasteurized unless it's specifically marked 'raw'.

  16. Is the cinnamon spice that is in most kitchens "ground cinnamon" or "cinnamon powder"?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You'll probably find ground cinnamon in your cabinet more than cinnamon powder. I've never even heard of "cinnamon powder" until I read about it on here.

      Delete
    2. Oh for God's sake! Cinnamon "powder" is "ground cinnamon! There's no such thing as Cinnamon powder. Ground cinnamon looks like flour. Unless you are hand grinding it, that's what "store-bought" ground cinnamon is and looks like.

  17. So does this work over night cuzz in one of your comment you said it would take two weeks to see results?

  24. There are lots of articles out there stating the benefits of honey and cinnamon together, but there are over 40 something types of cinnamon. The most health beneficial is ceylon cinnamon. You can also take this amount orally a couple times a day to help with nausea, or inflammation from arthritis or an injury. Honey is great for the face and if you find raw local honey it can help with seasonal allergies too. Love this post, it is awesome to find new ways to use natural products!

  25. Just so you know and to let your visitors know, this technique works perfectly. It's been 4 days since I put honey+a bit of cinnamon powder on my face every night and I rinse it in the morning (I don't WASH it, I just RINSE it with cold water) and my face is A LOT softer, my pimples are almost all gone (they look like little dead skins, as if they dried) and my pores are tighter. Besides, my skin tone is more even and more glowy. I'm so thankful for your DIY tips !!

    1. I haven't tried ground cinnamon because I think the grain size is too large for a facial mask. But you can give it a try :)

    ReplyDelete

    1. Get some large band aids (if the pimples are close together in certain areas, otherwise it doesn't matter) and put them over the pimples. You may look weird with th en on your face but it keeps it from messing up through the night.

      Delete
    2. adhesive on the skin is abrasive and can tear skin cells especially on the face! Do not use bandaids! I'm a personal care assistant and see how harsh adhesive is to the skin. It might help sleeping without a pillow. You are more prone to then sleep on your back naturally. Also sleeping with your arms up, hands on either side near your ears, naturally keeps you from tilting your head from one side or the other.

      Delete
    3. What about just putting gauze over top? The honey should help keep it sticking to your face, without the abrasive adhesive on your skin.

Also, I'd look at possibly doing a "face mask" throughout the day, on a weekend or some day when you don't have to go out. Then on some other nights, just do "spot treatments", at least on the bigger problems.

      Delete
  41. Read through the comments and here are my two cents: try ANY cinnamon--ground or powdered. Most stores carry it...look by spices like pepper (honey would be by the peanut butter). If you live by a dollar-type store you could probably try this cheaper. There really should be no reason why you couldn't do while awake. ...one would suppose you would need to think about how long you'd be asleep when trying to figure out how long to leave on. You don't want to leave on forever. During the length of time you have this on you face it will not "dry" and would rub off.

  53. So I did try this last night and it KIND OF worked. It didn't clear anything up by any means but it did bring things to the surface so I could get the puss out (puss is what eats at your skin, causing scaring and prevents healing.) It was super messy but it's safe and didn't cause any burning or irritation. I have incredibly sensitive so I was a good test dummy. I used ground sugar from Costco. I wouldn't say this is an overnight treatment but I feel like this is something that could work over time. I could understand why she said it works overnight only because if you have a red bump that's forming into a pimple, it will bring the puss to the surface so you can get the puss out to allow healing. Don't do it before a big event because once you excrete the puss, you will have lots of redness and puffiness until the pimple goes down completely. From there, put tea tree oil on it to increase healing (as it's a anti-microbacterial) and prevent scarring. Good luck and try at your own risk.

  54. will it get rid of the redness and swelling????

  67. This is actually a horrible treatment...it's only working because you're killing the pimple which is also KILLING YOUR OWN SKIN! Never ever EVER put cinnamon powder on your skin. It's itching because of the cinnamon powder irritating the skin and eventually killing it. Whoever thought of this obviously didn't do their research.
